Mikhail Myatlikov took part in the meeting of the Belarusian-Uzbek Business Council

The fourth meeting of the Belarusian-Uzbek Business Council was held today in Vitebsk at the site of the Vitebsk FEZ. The event, which is held within the framework of the III Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum, was attended by representatives of Belarusian and Uzbek businesses. During the meeting, the prospects and problematic issues of developing trade and economic relations between the two countries were discussed.

Opening the event, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov noted that relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan are strategic in nature and are successfully developing in the spirit of friendship and partnership.

- The dynamics of bilateral trade turnover demonstrates a stable positive trend. According to the results of 2024, mutual trade added 12%, according to the results of the first half of the year - plus 18% compared to the first six months of last year. It is gratifying that the supply of Belarusian goods to Uzbekistan is growing, just as Uzbek products are increasingly in demand on the Belarusian market, - noted Mikhail Myatlikov.

Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov made a welcoming speech. He emphasized the contribution of the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Uzbekistan to the expansion of business ties between the countries. The agenda for further cooperation is to ensure the participation of enterprises in exhibitions held in both countries, organize mutual visits of business circles, and meet at multilateral events.

During the meeting of the business council, the management and employees of Belarusian and Uzbek companies presented their products. The Uzbek delegation included representatives of the textile and food industries, agricultural machinery, construction, and tourism. From the Belarusian side, enterprises in the field of woodworking, investment, transport, and logistics were represented.

Thus, the head of the administration of the FEZ "Vitebsk" Mikhail Skurat in his speech drew attention to the conditions of the free economic zone. Representatives of Bremino Group LLC spoke about growth points, logistics and investments in the Bremino-Orsha special economic zone. A presentation of the products of the Newsprint Plant RUE took place. This is the largest manufacturer of paper products in the Republic of Belarus and a significant player in the market of finished wood processing products. The enterprise already works with Uzbekistan, but the interest of Uzbek business in it continues to grow.

The official part of the meeting ended with a ceremony of signing bilateral documents between the business circles of Belarus and Uzbekistan. An agreement on joint promotion of agricultural machinery was signed by Oleg Korsak, General Director of Bobruiskagromash Holding Management Company, and Alimjan Kholmuratov, General Director of AGROMAX TECHNIC LLC.

Afterwards, B2B negotiations took place, during which the companies could outline vectors for further cooperation.
