Reception of a delegation of business circles of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of a working visit to the Brest Region by R.N. Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan

From May 24 to 25, R.N. Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, made an official visit to the Brest Region.

As part of the visit, a business meeting with representatives of Tatarstan's business community was held at the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on May 25. The business delegation included the heads of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, PJSC “KAMAZ”, the industrial park LLC MC “Gorod Elektronnoy Kommertsii” (Electronic Commerce City), LLC “Tekhnofort”, LLC “Novaya Formatsiya”, and LLC “ZILANT - Business Travel”.

The heads of the two regional chambers, Valery Labun, General Director of the Brest branch, and Marat Akhmatov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. A week ago, the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement in Kazan as part of the International Forum “Russia-Islamic World”.

Guests from Tatarstan noted the genuine hospitality and cordiality with which they were greeted in the Brest region, the profound and sincere impressions they left from their visit to the Brest Hero Fortress, and the constructive working pace established from the very beginning by their Belarusian colleagues.

The busy second day of their visit to the southwestern corner of Belarus included visits to the region's flagship enterprises: LLC “Santa Bremor”, OJSC “Gefest-Technika”, LLC “Anreks”, and other residents of the Brest FEZ. The day before, their Tatarstan colleagues visited OJSC “Savushkin Product”, STiM Group, and LLC “Accumulator Alliance”.

For representatives of the Tatarstan tourism industry, their Belarusian colleagues organised visits to the Brest health resorts of Solnechny and Ruzhansky, as well as the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.

During the meeting, presentations were made on the economic and investment potential of the two regions, as well as on leading Brest exporters: LLC “DeStyle Mebel” and OJSC “Malorita Canning and Vegetable Dehydration Plant” (TM Toptyshka).

The parties outlined plans for cooperation, which, judging by the results of the visit, are destined to come to fruition.
