The traditional annual meeting of the heads of diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Belarus with representatives of export-oriented Belarusian enterprises took place at the Minsk International Exhibition Center "BelExpo". The heads of diplomatic missions held consultations with interested parties on issues of working in foreign markets.

The event was attended by 62 representatives of foreign missions of Belarus and about 100 employees of companies and organizations from various fields of activity from all regions of the country.

Opening the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Utyupin noted that every year a huge number of businesses come to meetings with ambassadors, and this practice has proven itself well. Being an ambassador himself, he appreciated this format of work.

– The role of the BelCCI cannot be overestimated. This is a significant association, since it is a national institution for financial support of exports. The Chamber always holds a huge number of events, including with the participation of heads of state and government. For example, last year alone, more than 500 events were held – a colossal number, – Pavel Utyupin emphasized. Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, in turn, drew the attention of the ambassadors and companies present to the importance of participating in the INNOPROM traveling exhibition, which will start on September 29 in Minsk at this very site.

– All the areas have already been sold. The Belarusian exposition will be located on 6 thousand square meters, foreign ones - on 8 thousand square meters. They are starting to form outdoor expositions. Guests from dozens of countries are expected. Such a large event in the modern history of the country is being held for the first time, – the head of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized.

As noted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India Mikhail Kasko, most often businesses contact the Embassy to obtain information about markets, their capacity, check the reliability of trading partners, and select a counterparty. Issues of supply logistics and payments are also discussed.

– India is the largest country in the world in terms of population, which has been growing at an average rate of 8% per year for the past five years. The growth of the Indian economy gives our manufacturers the opportunity to integrate and offer their goods and services of the widest range. The dynamics of trade turnover over the past two years has been positive: growth is observed mainly due to Belarusian exports of goods and services, – the Ambassador noted.

Today, Belarus supplies a wide range of products to India. These are agricultural products, machine tools, equipment, woodworking products, and light industry products. Nevertheless, according to Mikhail Kasko, exports cannot and should not be limited to these areas. The more Belarus is present and aware of its place in the Indian market, the more new opportunities open up for our country.
