
The project of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry "A Day with the BelCCI: acting in the interests of FEZ residents" was launched in Vitebsk. This is a new format for presenting BelCCI's opportunities to export-oriented enterprises – residents of free economic zones.
The first event was organized jointly with the Administration of the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone.
A Day with the BelCCI was opened by Denis Meleshkin, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. "One of the main tasks of chambers of commerce and industry is to assist, facilitate, and promote Belarusian enterprises in developing, primarily, foreign economic activity. Our priority is export-oriented enterprises, and FEZ residents are, first and foremost, exactly that", he noted, announcing the relevance of this format of presentations of the BelCCI activities, experts, and services.
He presented in detail the advantages of the "Member of the BelCCI" status, support tools, and areas of activity of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"The portfolio of our services is wide: starting from consultations and certification and ending with the resolution of problematic issues – sanctions compliance, force majeure certification, dispute settlement, etc., – emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI. – Globally, the authority of the Chamber and its members rests on three pillars: confirmation of status and integrity, based on the global brand of the сhamber of commerce and industry as such; consulting and information support, education; use of infrastructure. I hope that our communication will become a certain step towards the export-oriented FEZ residents being able to learn about our advantages in practice in order to get a mutually beneficial effect as a result".
Mikhail Skurat, Head of the Administration of the Vitebsk FEZ, also welcomed the participants.
Within the framework of the practice-oriented sessions "Legal Mechanisms for Overcoming the Impact of Sanctions on Economic Activities", "Practical Aspects of Certification, Expertise, and Valuation of Movable and Immovable Property","How to Make Participation in an International Exhibition Effective", BelCCI experts covered such topics as sanctions compliance, force majeure, settlement of foreign economic disputes in arbitration, features of the regulation of an international transaction of sale and purchase of goods, key difficulties arising in the context of confirmation of own production, assessment of civil rights objects, the effectiveness of participation in international exhibitions, as well as intellectual property protection.
The speakers were Vitaly Vabishchevich, Head of the Department of Legal Support and Digital Technologies of the BelCCI, Irina Fil, Deputy General Director for Expertise and Certification of the Vitebsk branch of the BelCCI, and Anna Prineslik, Head of the Exhibition Department of UE "Belinterexpo".
Following the event, participants were able to receive individual consultations from experts of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
