
The meeting of the BelCCI Council, the governing body that manages the Chamber activities between congresses, was held at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on April 6. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, heads and representatives of 58 member enterprises and organizations took part in the meeting.
The Deputy Chairman Denis Meleshkin reported on the outcome of the work of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Presidium in 2021. He emphasized that the last year, during which the business community was faced with the challenges and changes, was defined by the BelCCI as a year of new opportunities rather than the year of restrictions and conservation. "We had to change our plans unpredictably, develop new approaches promptly to support exporters, and look for new forms of our work. However, not only we continued our stable work, but we also managed to ensure sustainable development in almost all areas. To a great extent, this was achieved due to well-coordinated and effective work of the Chamber Presidium, prompt and constructive decisions on the issues that are important for business," the BelCCI Deputy Chairman noted.
Svetlana Grebentsova, the Chair of the BelCCI Audit Commission, reported on the results of the financial activities of the Chamber in the past year.
When discussing the activities of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the reporting period, Oleg Khvalyuk, Director of Polipol Mebel Bel LLC, Natalia Vorobyeva, General Director of the Vitebsk Branch of the BelCCI, Elena Khoroshevskaya, Director of the BelCCI Business Training Center, Galina Kasoverskaya, Deputy Chairman – Director of Gomel Regional Union of Employers Executive Directorate, Igor Levchik, Director of MIZ Medbelros LLC, Andrey Sladkevich, General Director of BTLC State Enterprise, Andrey Yartsev, Head of FEZ "Mogilev" Administration, Andrey Kazanovich, Director of Kaiant LLC, and Valery Ivankovich, Director General of JSC "MAZ – Management Company of BELAVTOMAZ Holding", noted the effectiveness of the Chamber's work with its members, the relevance of creating platforms for business dialogue, the introduction of new services to support exporters, presented proposals for improving the activities of the BelCCI, told about the peculiarities of their activities in modern conditions, those problematic issues they had faced with during their international activities; they also presented their own projects implemented due to the BelCCI support.
Igor Nazaruk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus noted that the MFA activities in the field of foreign economic ties promotion, increasing and diversifying export potential are closely linked with the activities of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He highlighted such BelCCI projects in this area as the Export Academy, the electronic business contacts platform, and the Register of Reliable Partners.
Taking into account that under the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On the Chamber of Commerce and Industry", the BelCCI Chairman shall be elected by the Council on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Igor Nazaruk presented the candidacy of Mikhail Myatlikov for this position.
Mikhail Myatlikov was elected the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the decision of the BelCCI Council.
The Council of the BelCCI decided to convene the 12th Congress of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 5, 2022.
