Expanding enterprises’ understanding of the advantages of e-commerce, and encouraging domestic companies to place their products on marketplaces under the "Made in Belarus" brand – these and other issues were discussed during the recent seminar "Electronic commerce: a tool for promoting belarusian goods", held in Minsk and organized by the Belarusian chamber of commerce and industry.

The event brought together representatives from Belarusian enterprises, government ministries, Wildberries, JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange", JSC " Foreign Economic Activity Agency", JSC "Sber Bank" and the Russian company " SberAnalytics".

The "Made in Belarus" initiative was launched in collaboration between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Wildberries on May 15, 2024. Starting from October 1, 2024, a similar "Made in Belarus" category also appeared on the Ozon marketplace.

During the period from May 15, 2024 to April 30, 2025, the BelCCI processed 123 verification requests from 90 manufacturing organizations of the Republic of Belarus. During this period, 10,539 products (109 requests) were verified for Wildberries and 865 products (14 requests) for Ozon.

What is the purpose of the certification process for goods sold on Wildberries and Ozone platforms? The verification procedures established by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirm that a product is manufactured in the Republic of Belarus. This, in turn, prevents counterfeit goods or items marketed by unverifiable intermediaries from being listed in the "Made in Belarus" catalog. The new product category labeled "Made in Belarus" enables verified goods to be better positioned on the platform and to permanently participate in the "Promotions" section.

Since September 23, 2024, the BelCCI has reduced the rates for the provision of product verification services on marketplaces.

The tariff rates (excluding VAT) are as follows:

· verification of product items by EAEU Customs Code: 4.58 rubles per code (previously 7.50 rubles);

· article control: 0.90 rubles per item (previously 1.10 rubles).

To provide more attractive conditions for manufacturers offering a wide product range and a large number of distributors, including light industry enterprises, a 10% discount is applied to the current tariff for applicants with quantities of goods ranging from 501 to 1000 units inclusive, while those registering over 1000 products receive a 20% discount.

For members of the BelCCI, who have selected the «Standard» package, a 5% additional discount is applied, while those who have chosen the «Premium» package receive a 10% discount.

More information about the service can be found on the BelCCI website in the section "Services", "Verification of goods for marketplaces" at the link: https://www.cci.by/uslugi/verification/.
